Which is why I was so happy when I discovered the WiFi Tether Router. It’s a light yet powerful app for turning your smartphone into a Wi-Fi hotspot using the connected Wi-Fi connection. This proves to be effective, especially when you’re living in a large apartment and your Wi-Fi router can’t seem to reach every corner.

The WiFi Tether Router will boost the range of the network using your Android device as an additional mobile router. That way, you can use the internet on other devices such as your smartphone, laptop, or PC in places you haven’t been able in the past. But remember, the app only works on rooted devices. Any attempt to enable the connection without this is pointless.

Upon opening the app, it will ask you to provide it with a root permission. Remember to select the “Yes” button, otherwise, you won’t be able to do anything with it at all. The user interface is easy to get used to. You will first need to tap on the configuration menu to adjust a few things, such as the name and password. There are also advanced settings which might come handy if you’re a pro. But for beginners, that’s all you need to know.
